Meet The Nest Wellness Community

Bringing Together Talented & Trusted Practitioners: One Safe Location for All of Your Self-Care Needs

I've been seeing many of you for acupuncture, and it's clear that we all need wellness support more than ever. I myself rely on regularly receiving treatments that balance me in body, mind and spirit.

To this point, I'd like to introduce you to the exceptionally skilled health & wellness practitioners that I work alongside with at Nest Wellness, the healing space that Aimee of Align Acupuncture and I created and opened with great care in June 2019.

One of our main goals in creating Nest Wellness was to establish and nurture a community of practitioners of different disciplines, from massage and facials, to breath work and talk therapy, whom we can confidently refer our own patients to for complimentary care. While acupuncture is a powerful stand-alone treatment, I find my patients benefit when they experience other modalities that support the work we do together.

And guess what: we reached our goal for Nest! Selfishly, I'm thrilled, as I get to enjoy treatment on my lunch break (hello, post facial glow for work!).... and I want to share the goodness with all of you. Now it's possible to safely visit one location that you know and trust for most or all of your self-care needs.

Meet The Practitioners of Nest Wellness:

Joe Barthelemy, Premier Sports Recovery

Joe is an exceptionally talented massage and sports recovery therapist. He helps athletes and non-athletes bring their body back to balance by speeding up their recovery from sport, exercise, surgery or just the rigors of life. Specialties include massage therapy, Fascial Stretch Therapy, Graston technique and cupping therapy.

Pro tip: fascial stretch therapy unlocks years of holding patterns and is like hitting a "reset button" for your entire body. My chronic hip & back pain is significantly decreased after a session and it's very effective for injury prevention.

Maryliam Crespi, SkinFluxe SkinCare Studio

Maryliam and Sarah Clark (below) have created the ultimate aesthetic and healing oasis at Nest! A veteran in the skincare industry, Maryliam offers an East meets West approach to reawaken beauty wellness from the inside out. She blends technology, ancient tools, and the balancing energy of "reiki touch" to support and facilitate Conscious Beauty.

Pro tip: She also offers painless waxing and and my favorite, micro-needling, which naturally builds collagen. I'm addicted to Maryliam's facials and have them monthly to alleviate clogged pores from mask wearing and smooth out my sun damage.

Sarah Clark, Stillpoint Beauty

Sarah brings her unique blend of aesthetics and biodynamic craniosacral therapy to Nest, offering both modalities to help people connect to their innate intelligence of healing. Through skincare and craniosacral work, she is here to listen and guide you to your highest self.

Pro tip: Sara specializes in TMJ support and face massage and can help you unravel your jaw and facial tension & pain. I came to Sara when I had a raging migraine and her calming craniosacral treatment eased the pain by 75%

Sabina Maez, New Horizons Acupuncture

Sabina is a highly trained and talented acupuncture colleague, whom I refer my patients to when I'm out of town. Sabina's education, experience, and a life-long connection to nature form the the foundation from which she creates profound, safe and comfortable healing experiences for her patients.

Pro-tip: Sabina's needling technique is gentle (painless!) but effective and she's a master at Tui Na, Chinese Medical Massage. Each session begins and ends with Tui Na, which Sabina uses as both a diagnostic and treatment method.

Samantha Story

Samantha offers healing to patients via a range of modalities, including Reiki, Breathwork, facial Gua Sha and acupuncture. She incorporates a selection of tools in her sessions including tuning forks, essential oils, guided imagery and her own personal style that leaves your feeling grounded and held.

Pro Tip: Breathwork is an active meditation using a simple two part breathing pattern that helps you turn off your thinking brain and tap into your energetic and emotional body. Samantha offers a weekly virtual Breathwork group that I have found to be hugely empowering during quarantine.
